The BDA also holds a small populaton of a state classified rare-plant species, along with other plants such as Mayapple, Jewelweed, and Wild Ginger.
The steeply sloped property provides habitat for turkey, deer and hawks that perch high in the trees to survey the valley corridor. The cool, shady and damp north facing slopes provide habitat for a listed Species of Special Concern.
