Grand View Scenic Byway Park will unify, improve and preserve the green and open spaces in Mt. Washington and Duquesne Heights, connecting to the rest of Pittsburgh’s emerging green network. It will create an attractive natural urban space that is a pleasure to live near, visit and view.
Improved and Restored Parks – City Parks within the park will be enhanced, ensuring their ongoing maintenance and increasing their active community use.
Green Space and Trails – Green and open spaces of the park will be preserved and protected, both for future generations and for current residents and visitors to enjoy.
Hillside Restoration and Management – Sound ecological practices will help stabilize hillsides, provide habitats for native plants and wildlife, and maintain attractive views to, from and within the park.
